Lilize Maree

Lilize Maree is a senior corporate, commercial, employment and dispute resolution solicitor and trusted strategic business advisor.

She was educated at Kings College London before starting her career as a solicitor in the City, where she practiced for almost a decade in the London office of a large European ABS firm. She has also held multiple positions as outsourced GC (inhouse) for clients across fintech, healthtech, edtech and government and operated her own practice under the SRA’s Freelance Code.

She has experience in joint ventures, cross-border M&A, private equity, corporate finance and alternative dispute resolution spanning across a wide range of industries including fintech, edtech, health tech, media, mining, retail, luxury goods, restaurants, hotels, charities and government. She has a unique perspective and a lateral approach to strategic business consulting and problem solving which is informed by her multinational background and education.

She holds multiple citizenships of Canada, South Africa and the UK respectively. She is also an accomplished landscape artist that regularly exhibits her works in both solo and collective exhibitions internationally.
