Richard Leather

Richard is engaged by Angular Legal as Of Counsel. With more than 12 years of sector experience, he supports Angular Legal’s clients with cross-jurisdictional research, licensing and compliance projects and regulatory guidance for M&A transactions.

Richard’s experience includes working as Chief Content Officer for VIXIO GamblingCompliance where he led the team of 20+ lawyers and analysts. He was also Head of Regulatory Affairs at Betclic Group in London and was part of the Legal Committee of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA). Richard also works as an independent regulatory and compliance consultant.

Richard has moderated panels and presented at numerous industry events, including in the Belgian Parliament, and at a round-table event in the European Parliament. Richard is a Solicitor of England & Wales having trained with Eversheds Sutherland LLP. He also holds a BA in History from University College London (UCL).

In his spare time, Richard plays tennis, padel and has recently taken up indoor climbing.
